Freepool gives public pools the feel-good factor, eco-health and sustainability. The Freepool system disinfects the water in the swimming pool with the most natural and sustainable technology on the market, named Neolysis, and it corrects the pH-levels by injecting high efficiency CO2 through a GVG system, which uses all of the gas in the cylinder, whilst reducing water consumption.

What is Neolysis?

It is a solution for the treatment and disinfection of swimming pool water based on electrolysis and ultraviolet technology. What is the high-efficiency GVG System?

This is a device that regulates the swimming pool’s pH through the injection of CO2. Itis controlled by software based on the criteria of maximum sustainability and efficiency and it communicates with the other water treatment equipment.

What is CO2?

CO2 is a gas that is essential for life on Earth that is also useful for controlling the acidity (pH) of the water in swimming pools. Its natural presence in groundwater, rivers, lakes and seas made us think about its use for the treatment of the water in swimming pools and after conducting extensive research its high level of effectiveness was proven. The CO2 replaces hydrochloric acid and reduces the compounds that can result from the mixture of chemicals, thereby achieving healthier water. It also reduces the installation’s emissions of greenhouse gases.

What is chloramine?

It is a molecule that is formed when chlorine comes into contact with organic substances in the water such as sweat, urine, insects or the surrounding vegetation and it can cause redness and dryness of the skin. Lengthy exposure can cause injuries to the lung epithelium and result in asthma symptoms. Chloramine also causes the typical “chlorine smell” of swimming pools that appears after mixing chlorine with the water. The levels of this substance are higher in indoor swimming pools because the water is at a higher temperature and due to the poor hygiene of users.
